- Harm reports: category, description, optional contact details, optional evidence images, platform and location info.
- Talent database applications: name, email, background, experience, role interests, optional LinkedIn/portfolio links.
- Newsletter: email address only.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP, browser type) for security and reliability.
How we use your data
- Investigate and classify AI harm reports for safety research and policy work.
- Match talent database applicants with AI safety opportunities.
- Send intelligence briefing emails to newsletter subscribers.
- Notify our team when new submissions are received.
- Improve our services and protect against abuse.
Harm report anonymity
Harm reports are anonymous by default. Name and contact fields are optional. We do not share identifying details with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or to prevent imminent harm.
Where data is stored
Data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and cloud storage). Email notifications are sent via Resend. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies and security standards.
Data retention
We retain submissions as long as needed for our safety research, talent matching, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing contact@aisafetyzambia.com.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe by contacting us. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
